As of August 2006, we are pleased and proud to announce our addition of the complete line of Bernina Sewing Machines. These top-quality, Swiss made sewing machines are known for high-tech, innovative features and reliability. We are happy to Demonstrate these fabulous machines to you at anytime. Bernina Mastery classes are offered in our spacious classroom, on a regular basis. We are also happy to announce that we now offer repair of Bernina Sewing Machines and all other brands as well. John Chabot, our machine technician is experienced in all brands of machines, and has been Certified as a Bernina Repair technician.

Quilts and More is not just an outlet or a sales store. Our shop is also a comprehensive training facility designed to teach many varied quilting styles and fabric arts. From the beginner to the seasoned quilter, you can find a class to fit your desires. Our instructors are long time quilters and sewing professionals skilled in all aspects of quilting and creating works of fabric art. Our instructors will teach and inspire you to create your own quilt, garment or wall hanging from the first stitch to the last finishing touch.

Our classrooms have large cutting tables which make it easy for cutting strips and layering your quilts, backings, batting and basting. You may bring your own machine to class or you may use one of our machines. There are several Bernina machines available exclusively for classroom and student use.

We love quilting! Our goal is to encourage and further the art of quilt making. No project is too big or too small. Bring in that unfinished project that you have been putting off for months and we can help you complete it.

Books are an important part of the quilting art. Every quilter has at one time or another referred to a book or pattern for ideas or techniques to complete a project. Quilts and More stock a large selection of the most recent publications. We receive new additions to our book and pattern stock monthly. In addition to our in stock books and guides we can order most in print items and have them to you within a few weeks. We have direct contact with many of the major publishers.

Proprietor Betty Combs has been a quilter for many years. Betty has also been teaching for most of her life. A professor at Pace University, Betty, now retired, was Director of the early childhood development department at Pace. Teaching and instructional skills are one of Betty's fortes. Many years of instructing teachers how to present material to students gives Betty the insight and knowledge of how best to teach quilting.
